Larmondo "Flair" Allen: The Death of an Entrepreneur
By Nicholas Stix

A reader sent this along.

This young man was killed roughly one year after the Katrina anarchy. He was 25, yet left behind 9 children and 13 siblings. There was no mention of what sort of "entrepreneur" he was in NOLA.

This is popping up all over the place, but it's from 2004. I won't repeat the info here, but he's a convicted felon. Google the name. The world became a slightly better place that night.

Thanks for the heads-up. I wasn't aware that it was from 2004. I have since done some research, and found that this guy is much worse than even his obit suggests. In 1999 and 2003, he was charged in a total of three murders and two attempted murders. He appears to have been awaiting trial in some of those cases, and in the others, I couldn't find a disposition. Howwever, I found enough to determine that he was likely a serial killer.

Thus, between friends and relatives of his victims and rival drug dealers, probably half of the city of New Orleans had a motive to murder this guy.
